Something not working?

A real person answers. There is no chat widget on this site, partly because it would follow you around every page to do it.

Worth trying first

Margo says it cannot reach its AI

Margo reaches its AI through Margo’s own AI service, so your Mac needs to be online and connected to your Margo Account. If it was never connected, open Margo: it opens margo.global in your browser, where you sign in and click Connect. If the service is down, or the amount of AI use included for you during the beta has run out, Margo says so rather than guessing. Tell us if it keeps happening.

A screen says something is “late”

That is working as intended. Margo learns how often each thing it reads — your calendar, your mail, your phone — normally sends something new, and marks it late once it has been quiet for much longer than usual, rather than showing you old numbers as though they were current.

Your calendar shows nothing

For the calendars on your Mac, macOS asks for Calendar access once; if it was declined, allow Margo in System Settings under Privacy & Security, Calendars. For Google Calendar, connect it again from inside Margo.

A goal reads 0%

Check whether you edited its wording. Editing saves a new version of the goal, and any activity rule that pointed at the old wording follows it across. A rule that was never attached to that goal shows nothing at all, which the app draws as a dotted line rather than a bar at zero.

Reporting a security problem

Same address, but please read the security page first — it says what we do and do not claim, which will save you time.

What we will not do

  • Attach anything from your Mac to a support ticket without asking. No logs, no database, no diagnostics. If we need one we will ask, and you will send it deliberately.
  • Ask you for a password, a card number, or a key to any other service. Ever.

Getting in touch

Email help@margo.global. It is one shared mailbox for support, privacy requests and security reports — one address that is read beats three that are not.

We have not agreed any response times and will not invent one, so this page does not promise a turnaround. What we can say is that it reaches a person.

What helps

  • Your macOS version, and whether the Mac is Apple silicon.
  • The Margo version and build number, and — if it involves the iPhone — which iPhone you use.
  • What you did, what you expected, and what happened instead.
  • The exact wording of any message Margo showed you.

What not to send

  • Passwords, or any key or secret another service issued you. We will never ask for one.
  • Your Margo database or journal. They contain your goals and your calendar; we do not want a copy.
  • Card or bank details.
  • Screenshots showing your inbox, calendar or anything about other people.

If a diagnostic is genuinely needed we will ask for the specific thing, and explain what is in it first.

Send a message

We keep your address, your subject and your message so we can answer, and for as long as the conversation and our own records need. Nothing is attached from your Mac — no log files, no database, no diagnostic report. If we need one, we will ask and you will send it. More.

Please leave out passwords, card details and anything private you would not want in an email.
